Great big cafe with good comfortable seating possibilities indoors and outdoors. Very friendly staff members. It's a great cafe for studying as well. Lots of students seem to come here. The coffee and cake tasted awesome. We came super late but luckily we were able to stay a few minutes past closing time. They just stopped serving and started to clean up but we had plenty time to finish eating our cake and coffee without being in a rush.
Best coffee on campus! Visited for the first time last October when it’s not on google map yet to support a “friend-of-friend” business, but it exceeded expectations. Rich and smooth with notes of nuts and chocolate. There is passion for making good coffee, from the warm aroma of the beans to the never disappointing beautiful latte art. The pastries come in small bites and less guilty conscience. Great to see it’s getting popular, though now I have to fight even for a shared table :
What a cool place! It's open & warm with the natural light coming through the huge windows. Although it was busy, it wasn't loud which is a rare combination. I ordered an oat flat white & my partner had the filter special which consisted of two smaller cups of different origin coffees (Ethiopian & Costa Rican if I remember correctly). That's a lovely touch & really shows that this isn't just any old coffee shop. The staff are all wonderful, taking their time with each customer to have a unique interaction & conversation. When we returned our cups, Mike even asked my partner which of the coffees he liked the best. If only I lived closer, I'd be here everyday! One thing though - some vegan treats would be nice in your bakery cabinet, please
Harvey's is invaluable to the Cambridge space. There is something so welcoming, warming and wonderful about this cafe - each cafe visitor leaves with a warm heart. Not many spaces have staff who truly care, who remember the visitors and take time to ask about their day. Mike is exceptional, and his passion is manifested in his talent and also how much love and dedication he has towards the community and coffee. I always enjoy visiting.
So much more than a great cup of coffee. A precious pause in a fast moving world. I heard it might be closing end of June. Feel for the students, who need the grounded sanity and humanity of this place. Hats off to Michael and all the Harvey’s family. 1st, both coffee and food are beautiful and great. 2nd, the beautiful lady, mother of the owner was so nice. To be honest, as a visitor from Texas US, I don’t have high expectation of manors of British at all based on my previous experience. It proved again in the morning when a nice looking Cambridge guy did not allow us sitting by him although the table has 3 empty seats..When I brought my kids to look for other seats, the lady came to me to say sorry and explained a long time to me that the guy was not right. She was so patient with us and spent long time talking with me in a busy morning. This lady made my day, and changed my view to the British culture. I should still have hope to see nice people like the beautiful lady. Thanks a lot!!!
I really cannot recommend this coffee shop enough. The staff are always very friendly, welcoming and explain the new filter special roasts they have on. Not to mention the amazing selection of pastries and baked goods. My only critique of Harvey's would be that sometimes finding seating can be a bit difficult, but that really is just a testament to how amazing the service, atmosphere, and coffee is at Harvey's!
